hi!
I’m Jess
I write articles about travel, chat on a podcast about bad movies, and occasionally make silly little videos on the internet. I’m based in Exeter (UK) and Tokyo!

Cine-Mess:
Embracing Bad Cinema
In February I began working on a very exciting project- a friend and I started a podcast together! We’re both film students and love trashing bad movies, so we thought that we should create an excuse to do it more. “Cine-Mess: Embracing Bad Cinema” now has 8 episodes recorded. I co-host with India, coordinate with guests, and run our socials. We release episodes weekly onto Spotify, and we’re starting to film them for Youtube as well!
3 strands of content output
Instagram (@cinemesspodcast)
I run the Cine-Mess Instagram, using it to promote each episode, contact guests, and as a landing page for the podcast.
tikTOK (@cinemesspodcast)
Our TikTok is a fun space used for clips of episode highlights, joining pop culture commentary, and making jokes about Letterboxd.
Youtube/SPotify
Each episode is published directly to Spotify and Youtube!

WHat is sinfully sexual?
A project created as part of my "Communications Challenges" Module, dedicated to highlighting the issue of and problems surrounding slut-shaming on campus. For the module, alongside 4 team members I created a website, produced a podcast episode, and ran a booth at the Communications exhibition at the University of Exeter.

KMC PItch: “Move in with mac”
Created for the D&AD New Blood Awards 2024
Kraft’s kids are growing up and moving out. Millennials and Gen Z consumers aren’t kids anymore—the oldest member of Gen Z is 27! It’s time for KMC to stop treating them like they are. So how can KMC acknowledge this new stage of life, with the new challenges that come with it—like difficult roommates, missing home, and adjusting to adulthood?
“Move in with Mac” is a campaign that aims to help adult consumers celebrate moments of change with a familiar taste of home. The campaign will use care packages alongside hashtags encouraging people to share their childhood memories of eating KMC (#KraftMemories). Customers will be able to buy Kraft Cares Kits as move-in gifts for friends and family members, which will contain cookware, KMC-branded dishes, and, of course, some Kraft Mac and Cheese.
